philosophy of ministry

We seek to follow Jesus - in His identification with the poor, the afflicted, the oppressed, the marginalized, and in His special concern for children. Following Jesus' example, Badjao Bridge strives to provide hope and opportunity for impoverished children living on the sea.

VISION

We seek to empower Badjao children as catalysts of change in their families and community, living with God's given dignity and peace, enjoying fullness of life and contributing to the welfare of society. We accomplish this by focusing on five areas of life:

• Develop their inner person as followers of Jesus Christ

• Love and care for their own community

• Live in dignity and peace where they are

• Represent what is best for the Badjao culture

• Develop responsibility in helping themselves and others

• Get to school

• Eat a nutritious meal at school

• Learn basic skills in hygiene and self-care
