Education for Children
Badjao Bridge children get to attend school and receive healthy meals. Education and nutrition keep the children engaged and safe instead of begging for food in the nearby city.
Thriving Communities
Together we are building classrooms, learning centers, wells, and sourcing land! Through access to resources, Badjao tribes are creating a bright future for their community.
Badjao Bridge Transition
In January, the U.S. Badjao Bridge will close.
The Philippines Badjao Bridge will continue the work.
When Dan was called to help the Badjao fourteen years ago, he dreamed that one day the Badjao could lead this crucial work for themselves. Now, the miracle has happened. The people who needed support to survive are beginning to thrive.
The Plan
Badjao Bridge began as a registered nonprofit in the U.S. and in The Philippines as Badjao Bridge Philippines Incorporated. Badjao Bridge is now moving fully to The Philippines. The Philippines Board and Executive Team have been working hard this year to prepare for the exciting transition. Meet our Boards here.
The sense of community has never been stronger among our teachers, tutors, cooks and children. And we feel that too with you, our supporters.
What Is Not Changing
Dan remains part of the U.S. Board. They will continue to provide oversight and leadership for the Board in The Philippines.
Our dedicated teachers will continue to nurture the children. Our programs will remain as strong as ever. Our partnership with local churches will continue ensuring the children feel loved and supported in their spiritual growth.
What Is Changing
The Philippines Board and Executive Director, Jean Migraso, will oversee all elements of Badjao Bridge planning, fundraising and programming.
Our U.S. donations will continue to fund this crucial work. Donations will now be processed through the New Horizon Foundation. They will provide you with service and charitable receipts. Please click to continue helping Badjao children.
